Oncologist
Dr. Godwin Uwagba earned his graduate medical degree from the College of Medicine, University of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria in 2000 and became a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in 2015.
He holds a Leadership and Management Certificate in Health Management from the University of Washington and also has a Certificate in patient-centred care, medical oncology, drug access, radiation oncology, research management and leadership.
He has had various trainings within and outside the country on the advancement of radiation oncology which include 2D to 3D contouring in Cape Town, South Africa and Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT 2.0) by Rayos Contra Cancer, USA.
Dr. Uwagba worked as a full-time Consultant Radiation and Clinical Oncologist at Asi Ukpo Diagnostic and Medical Centre (ADMC), Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria before joining NSIA-LUTH Cancer Centre in 2019. He is a member of the Association of Radiation and Clinical Oncologist in Nigeria (ARCON), the American Society of Clinical Oncologist (ASCO), and Nigerian Medical Association (NMA). His passion is in Head and Neck, Prostate, Breast, Gastrointestinal and Gynaecologic Cancers.
