Prof Durosinmi-Etti (OFR) is the Chief Liaison Officer (CLO) at NLCC where he serves as an intermediary between LUTH & NSIA. He graduated from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos as a Medical Doctor in June 1972. He had his specialist postgraduate training in Radiation Therapy and Clinical Oncology at the Christie Hospital Manchester, (University of Manchester) England between 1975 and 1979.
Professor Durosinmi-Etti was appointed in 1988 by the United Nations, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Austria as a Radiation Oncologist technically charged with the activities of the IAEA worldwide in the field of Cancer Radiotherapy.
He has several Academic publications to his credit in peer reviewed local and international journals. He was involved in the design and development of the AMRA Brachytherapy machine in France and the CERVIFIX machine in Italy.
He was the Chairman of the National Consultative Committee on Cancer Control in Nigeria from 2006 to 2015.
Professor Durosinmi-Etti is the first Full Professor of Radiation Therapy and Oncology appointed by the University of Lagos or by any other University in Nigeria.
He is a Fellow and Member of several local and International Professional Associations. He was a past National Treasurer of the Nigerian Cancer Society and currently a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Nigerian Cancer Society; Cancer Aid Foundation; Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Association of Radiation and Clinical Oncologists of Nigeria (ARCON); Pink Oak and President of CEAFON among many others.
He is a recipient of several local and international awards including the highly prestigious National Honour of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic. (OFR)
